Yet Another Snow Day

(Frank Burnside)It snowed from dawn to dusk today, this last day of March. I hope it’s done for the year, though I must say that the heavy, wet snow made things look pretty nice!

Jim Thorpe Oddities

I never tire of Jim Thorpe, except when I encounter the hordes of leaf-peepers in the Fall and can’t find a parking place under ten dollars. The town seems to have everything. You can walk the “commercial section” in less than an hour at a reasonably leisurely pace, but there is so much to see that an hour won’t be nearly enough. Eclectic shops, history, railroads, art, good food, wonderful hiking trails just outside of town.

And, as this set of images indicates, some wonderful oddities!

Grey Day Lake Walk

(Frank Burnside) It was a grey day today, but (wait for it…) it was over 50 degrees! Fahrenheit! So of course I had to get out for a walk, and I decided to extend my walk from yesterday. Having lived on the Lake for most of my life, walked around it a handful of times, ridden a bike around it probably a hundred times, I still notice new things – maybe because things change, or maybe because I am more watchful now. Probably both.
