Salt Springs SP I

Salt Springs State Park

Salt Springs State Park, about 7 miles north of Montrose, PA, is a wonderful place. I was there years ago looking (successfully) for a geocache, and have been thinking about going back.  The combination of a beautiful day and some hankering for new territory to explore did the trick.  I read that Salt Springs is the only state Park in Pennsylvania that is owned, not by the state, but by a bob-profit organization.  That’s a good thing.

I took so many pictures that I’m breaking it up in two galleries.  Stay tuned for Part II.

Walkin’ Williamstown

Tree Lawn

After I descended the hill overlooking Williamstown, I wandered briefly around town.  It’s pretty obvious that I was noticing the many things that stick up in the air. There is much more to be seen in this delightful place, but it’s a start.

Overlooking Williamstown

Overlooking Williamstown

Contrary to what the title may imply, one should not overlook Williamstown, MA, except to give it a good view.  It is the quintessential New England College Town, nestled in the Berkshires, and teeming with academia, arts and culture, steeples (more on that to come) and beautiful trails.
