Return to Stonehedge

Across the Road

About a month ago, we discovered Stonehedge Gardens, a fascinating place just south of Tamaqua. But there was nothing much in bloom, and we figured there would be by now, and there was. Rode home through some unexplored territory and found some nice landscape material!

Spring is here. Life is good.

April in the Woods

April in the Woods

Maybe it’s my imagination, but Spring seems late in coming to the woods this year. ┬áHere we are at the end of April and except for the forsythia (which is out of place in the woods to begin with) not much around here seems to be very enthusiastic.

Ah, well, it will come and then be too soon gone.

World’s End

Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania

Most people who visit World’s End State Park in Northeastern Pennsylvania make it a point to find the overlook to the “Loyalsock Canyon Vista,” and it’s worth the effort. On a recent visit, we noticed a sign on the other side of the parking lot (opposite the overlook): “Rock Garden,” with an arrow pointing into the woods.

What a treat!
