Sunset & Macroflora

Filed under: Harveys Lake, PA,Nature,Photography,Seeing,Uncategorized — Tags: , , , — Frank Burnside @ 7:08 pm

I do sunsets; I do close-ups of flora.  Sometimes I do both at the same time!  This was an interesting exercise.  It was cold and breezy, and the “flora” wouldn’t hold still.  So I decided to use the flash to stop them, because I also wanted a small aperture so the background would be somewhat in focus.  It turned out to be a fortunate idea, because it not only stopped the motion, but gave some texture to the close-ups.  Serendipity is good!

  1. A real departure—quite good!

  4. Yes, it’s a WordPress.org blog which is quite easy to maintain and update. The theme is called Modularity, and I believe it was/is free. Very flexible!
    Thanks for the kind words.
